I have stayed at North River Campground for the last 30 days. It is such an enjoyable place to be. Beautiful grounds that are far and beyond what you would expect from a normal campground. The lake, fishing and quietness are what i like most of all. I am not sure how long I will be here, but you can bet that I will be back. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Sawyer for a great place to relax!

As an Aviation Contractor, my wife and I have had the pleasure of finding this campground. Over the next 12 months I have found that this campground offers excellent accomodations, activities for every age group. We found this campground to be maintained and operated by Judy & Everett Sawyer, and the made us feel like family, a true pleasure to have met. They strive for perfection, and those who have stayed at this campground will agree, the lawns are maintained, trimmed, RV sites have patios, and pinic tables, all or most overlooking a 5 acre lake. The Sawyers, even have train rides for the children, and it was amazing to see all the children riding around the lake on this train. I would recommend this campground to any first time campers, as well as the numerous groups which exisit. The quality of this campground sets the standards for others to follow. I would like to thank the Sawyers for their hospitality and friendship, and look forward to planning a vacation there in the near future.

We just stayed at North River campground last night and had
a wonderful time. I must agree that this campground
is spotless. We brought our inflatable canoe and
paddled around the lake and under the fountain to
cool off. The staff are extremely friendly. The fire
ring was so nice to enjoy. Will we return? You bet -
we have already made reservations :) If you love
nature - you will love this campground tucked away
off the beaten path.

Our stay at North River was terrific and the facilities are super.
A very nice place to rest and relax as well as meet some fine
folks from around the country. Wish we could stay longer. Catch

We visit North River Campground
on a regular bases - we love to take our granddaughter to the
campground she loves the freedom able to fish - play and have a
great time - The campground is decorated for the Christmas Holiday
and looks absolutely beautiful. It owners are great people and
willing to help when ever needed. Its a must to visit and we will
continue to camp at North River.

We come here every year to break in our new
Scouts and Parents to the camping experience and to let the
Parents see what they should have to go camping. This campground
has all the best that Camping has to offer for Cub Scouts. The
sites are clean and the owners take good care of the grounds and
are very friendly. We look forward to this camping trip every
year. If your Scouts are looking for GREAT Place to camp this
would be it!!!!

VERY clean, neat and QUIET campground. Beautiful
large site, serene wooded surroundings, and pretty lake with a
fountain. Did I say QUIET? It was the most relaxing campground my
wife and I have visited. Thanks, we'll be back.

Found out about North River campground from my
Sister who lives in Currituck. It is a beautiful campground in a
secluded area away from freeway noises. We stayed 11 days to
attend our Nephews wedding and see the sights in the area. It is
definitely one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at in our
years of traveling. Especially enjoyed the pizza and hot wings on
site.

This place is an old folks home. Seriously, I do
believe the 2 small boys with us were the only children present.
The place was pristine and very well kept up. No complaints there.
We felt somewhat harassed by the owners due to where we parked our
golf carts, how we loaded our golf carts, general nitpicking of
our group (3 paid sites, 2 nights). Will we be here again- NO. One
of our friends brought his dog who does not ever wander off and
the owners threatened to kick him out if "he didn't get his dog on
a leash right now". Rude. Sorry, this is a negative testimonial so
it is doubtful it will be published on your website.

Judy and Everett, we would like to thank you for
a great time this past week. It was great for all five of the
brother's to be together again on New Year's eating oysters and
all the good food everyone cooked. We have camped in alot of
campgrounds and yours is a STAR FIVE. We have never camped where
the owners carried so much for their guest. I hope everyone will
come out and visit. Beautiful-Beautiful place.

We stayed at the campground in
Mid October 2008. We have never stayed at a campsite that was so
clean and so friendly! We stayed with our two small dogs and even
the puppies loved the grounds. The hospitality was incredible, the
pizza a good alternative to local dining. We felt welcome and
genuinely comfortable. The lake was beautiful with the fountain.
We even tried fishing for a bit. We were attended to so graciously
and enjoyed our relaxing stay. We will surely visit again. Thanks
for making us Marylander's feel relaxed and welcome!

We had visited North River
Campgrounds in September and really enjoyed our weekend there.
Judy and Everett made us feel very welcome at the campgrounds.
They even took time to visit the campsites in the evening, just to
say Hello and to see if we needed anything. Then we returned
again for a lengthy stay of 7 weeks while we waiting to get into
our new home. I would highly recommend this campground to
everyone. The campgrounds extremely clean and they have a
wonderful family environment. Fishing on the lake is very
enjoyable and not to mention the gorgeous sunsets over the lake
are breath taking. Judy, Everett and Debbie made us feel very
welcome as if we were apart of their family. They have terrific
pizza, hot wings and other foods Their breakfast pizza is a great
alternative to a traditional breakfast. If you travel in the
Camden county area you need to make a stop here, because if is
well worth the visit. Thanks to Judy, Everett and Debbie for
making our extended stay so enjoyable.

This was our first time camping in our travel
trailer. Judy and Debbie really helped us check in quickly and get
us to our site which was a really large site, all neat and the
grounds were beautiful. The lake and fountain was so nice. I'll
remember to bring my fishing pole next time. Everette was so
helpful with setting us all up and showing us the hookups. Knowing
that we were new at this he would check on us from time to time as
he would ride on his golf cart setting up the other campers
arriving. I've been camping at several places as a child and with
family. I have never been to a campground that was kept in such a
pristine condition. It was evident that Everette and Mary care
about their campers and their campground. I am definitely going
back. Also it is so close to Nags Head and the Outer Banks. We are
from Va. Beach but those that are interested in visiting Va. Beach
or the Outer Banks you are only slightly over an hour away in
either direction. Thank you so much Everette, Judy, and Debbie. We
really enjoyed our stay and hope to see you again soon.

We stayed at North River Campground this past
weekend for the first time and we will definitely be coming back.
Everette , Judy & Debbie made us feel right at home. We rented one
of the apartment suites and had plenty of room. Everything was so
clean and nice. I have told everybody about this place. Can't wait
to get back. The grounds are beautiful. Flowers everywhere. Felt
just like we were at home. I can't say enough. Thanks again for
making our weekend so enjoyable.

What a gem! Immaculate grounds and sites in a
peaceful location. Such friendly owners, too. We stayed here 3
nights, an hour's drive away from the hub-bub on the Outer Banks
where our nephew got married. One of the best campgrounds we've
experienced. Pizza and sandwiches on site so if you don't feel
like cooking or going out, that's a great option. Many local
farmer's markets for fresh produce. North River Campground and
Everett, Judy, and Debbie are the cream of the crop.

First and foremost we imagine when you look
up the meaning of Southern Hospitality we would find the names of
Judy and Everett Sawyer. The moment our group arrived; we were
wholeheartedly welcomed; we felt right at home. We have been
camping since 1978 and have not visited a better kept campground--
on a scale of 1 - 10; we would rate this one a 12. It is
gorgeous!! The grounds are immaculate, the sites are large with
concrete patios, table and flowers -- really nice. Everett came by
several times to ask if we needed anything-- and sometimes just to
chat-- that was nice!!! We would highly recommend North River
Campground to everyone; it is worth the trip. Thanks Judy and
Everett for making our week-end so enjoyable. We will definitely
return.
